Sign up for one of the most exciting festivals on the Midwest dragon boat calendar. It's easy to get involved in the races. All you need is 20 of your friends and/or co-workers to form a team, and get ready for race day.
What does a Festival Team Entry include?
Besides the promise of a thrill like no other, your team entry includes entry to the event and all equipment necessary to race.
Each team will compete in 3 x 500m races. Teams that belong to an organization or industry will have the opportunity to compete in an Industry Cup Race*. Be sure to select an industry during registration so you are included!
Teams have the option to choose an entry to include a team practice. Practices are held at Flentie Park from Monday July 6th to Friday July 24th . A coach, along with all equipment, will be provided.
*Eligibility for Industry Cup Races: 70% or more of your paddlers must be part of the same industry in order to be eligible for that industry cup race.
There are 3 different racing classes that teams can register for: Mixed, Women's, and Open.
A Mixed Team consists of 20 paddlers with a minimum 8 female paddlers in the boat.
A Women's Team consists of an all female team. The drummer must be female.
An Open Team consists of any combination of male and female paddlers.
