The options outlined below can be booked as an add-on to your camp registration and are available during the week. It can be included in your initial registration or added on at a later time through the online registration system.
Option #1: High Performance ProgramIf you want to learn to be faster, then the High Performance program is for you! This option consists of three progressive one-hour sessions completely focused on racing techniques, strategies, and drills-all focused on how to go fast.
One question will continually be asked and answered: How do I make the boat go faster?

Back for 2013 is the Standup Paddleboarding Clinic. SUP for short, the sport offers an amazing full body workout and is becoming very popular among athletes. Whether you're looking for a new recreational pastime or a great workout, SUP is great for all! Plus, it's the closest thing to walking on water!
No experience is necessary to register. Each session will be taught by a Certified SUP Instructor. There are 2 sessions available to choose from, each 1-hour in length:
Option #2: Stand Up Paddleboarding Clinic - Instructional
This Introductory session will have you confidently standing up and paddling on your board and maneuvering with confidence by the end of this session. The skills you will learn en route include the forward stroke, reverse stroke, effective turning, the sweep stroke, bracing, prone paddling, and how to fall of your board safely and confidently get back on.There will be 3 instructional sessions offered during the week. Pre-registration is recommended but drop-ins are allowed.

Option #3: Stand Up Paddleboarding Clinic - Social
With an Intro to SUP under your belt, sign up for a social paddle session! It's a unique way to hang out with your camp friends and put to use your SUP skills but most importantly importantly have fun! Pre-register for a social or sign up on-site. There will be 4 social 1-hour paddles offered during the week.

Option #4: Coaching Community Dragon Boat (Level 1)
Offered by Dragon Boat Canada, instruction will follow the recently-developed coaching manual developed by Dragon Boat Canada.
This 8 hour course is intended for anyone interested in entry level coaching. Some of the material covered in the course includes; safety, ethics in coaching, coach-athlete communication, basic dragon boat technique, basic physiological requirements of dragon boat racing, race planning, practice planning, etc... Certification candidates are required to successfully complete a written assignment, hold a small craft operators license, and complete NCCP Intro to Competition Part A before they are fully certified.
