Prize Pool Calculation
- Three prize pools will be created: Mixed, Open and Womens
- The following will be contributed to each prize pool based on the type of registration:
- Mixed Crew: $100.00 towards Mixed Pool
- Womens Crew: $50.00 towards Womens Pool
- Open Crew: $50.00 towards Open Pool
- Mixed/Womens Crew: $50.00 towards Mixed Pool & $50.00 towards Womens Pool
The Mixed A Division Championship Final, Open A Championship Final, and Women A Championship Final will be awarded as follows**:
| 1st Place: | 32.5% of pool + 100% off entry to Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival* |
| 2nd Place: | 15% of pool + 50% off entry to Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival* |
| 3rd Place: | 10% of pool |
| 4th Place: | 7.5% of pool |
| 5th Place: | 5.0% of pool |
| 6th Place: | 0% of pool |
20 % of each pool will be placed in the Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival prize pool.

Note, the Open Division participants have voted to have a winner-take-all prizing format.
Random Division Winner Prize:
- 10% of the total of all pools and one (1) free entry to the Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival* will be awarded to a random winner of a Championship or Consolation Final. The winner of the Mixed A Division Championship Final, Women's A Division Championship Final and Open A Division Championship Final will not be eligible. A random draw will be held at the Awards Ceremony.
* Use of Credits:
All teams using their credit towards the Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival must ensure that 70% of the crew that won the credit are competing at this event.
Credits will be valid for the year that they are won and the following year. For example a credit won in 2009 will be valid for use for the 2009 or 2010 event.
Teams that have registered for the Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival that win a credit will recieve a refund based on the value of the credit.
** Less than 6 teams in a Category:
If there are less than six teams in a category, the cash and prizing structure will be amended. Please click here to view amended structure based on the number of crews in the Final Race.

That’s the philosophy behind one of North America’s most popular festivals. The GWN Dragon Boat Challenge is a two-day festival that brings together 5,000 recreational and elite dragon boat athletes and thousands of spectators. Mark the date on the calendar, as this is the do not miss festival of the summer.
The event has moved to Marilyn Bell Park and now offers some of the best technical racing in North America. With over 200 teams expected to participate, it is the ultimate boating experience.
